OJT Course Introduction Video Preparation – (Grade C)

Introduction

Hello everyone, my name is [Name].

I am currently doing my OJT training with Evision Technoserve.

I joined this training because I wanted to improve my IT knowledge and understand how technical work is actually done in an organization.

In this video, I would like to share some of the things I learned during my training.

My Training Journey

During my training, I got the opportunity to learn about different areas of IT.

I started with the basic concepts and gradually learned about hardware, networking, Windows systems, Microsoft 365, and IT support.

This helped me understand that different areas of IT are connected to each other and work together in a professional environment.

Computer Hardware

One of the first things I learned was Computer Hardware.

I learned about the different parts of a computer, such as the CPU, RAM, motherboard, storage, and power supply.

I also learned about BIOS, operating system installation, drivers, and some common hardware problems.

This gave me a better understanding of what is happening inside a computer and how basic hardware issues can be identified.

 Networking

After learning the basics, I moved into networking.

I learned how computers and other devices communicate with each other through a network.

I studied concepts like the OSI model, IP addresses, subnetting, routers, switches, DNS, and DHCP.

I also learned some basic commands used for troubleshooting network problems, such as ping, ipconfig, tracert, and nslookup.

This helped me understand how to check a connection when a device is not communicating properly.

 Windows Administration

I also learned about Windows Administration.

Here, I understood how users and computers are managed in an organization.

I learned about user accounts, Active Directory, Group Policy, permissions, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server.

I also learned some basic troubleshooting methods for Windows-related problems.

This gave me a better idea of what a system administrator does in an organization.

 Microsoft 365 & Outlook

Another area I learned was Microsoft 365 and Outlook.

I learned how organizations use email, calendars, meetings, and collaboration tools in their daily work.

I became familiar with Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and basic mailbox-related concepts.

This helped me understand how Microsoft services are used to support employees in their day-to-day work.

CCNA Concepts

I also learned some important CCNA networking concepts, especially VLAN, VPN, and Proxy.

I understood how VLANs can help organize a network and separate different groups of devices.

I also learned the basic purpose of VPNs for secure remote connectivity and proxies for managing network traffic.

These concepts helped me understand networking from a more practical point of view.

 ITIL & IT Support

Along with technical topics, I also learned how IT support teams work.

Through ITIL, I learned about incidents, service desk activities, changes, and problems.

I understood how a support ticket is handled, how issues are prioritized, when they need to be escalated, and why proper documentation is important.

This helped me understand that IT support is not only about fixing a problem but also about helping users in an organized and professional way.

 What I Gained

The biggest thing I gained from this training is a better understanding of how different IT concepts are connected.

I learned how to look at a technical problem, understand what might be causing it, and follow a basic troubleshooting approach.

I also became more comfortable with technical terms and communicating about IT-related problems.

 My Confidence

Before this training, some of these topics were new to me.

Now, I have a much better understanding of the basics and feel more confident discussing technical concepts.

I know I still have a lot to learn, but this training has given me a strong starting point and motivated me to continue improving.

 Closing

Overall, my OJT experience with Evision Technoserve has been a good learning experience.

I am thankful to my trainers and the entire team for their guidance and support.

I will continue working on my technical skills and use what I have learned to prepare myself for future opportunities in the IT field.

Thank you.
